Michiel E. Ultee, Ph.D., has more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, and has worked with antibodies since 1975. He directs both process-development and manufacturing operations at Laureate. Prior to joining Laureate in 2000, he was Director of Manufacturing at Cytogen Corporation, where over a 13-year period he held positions of increasing responsibility in research, development and manufacturing of the company’s two licensed biopharmaceuticals.

Prior experience includes work in immuno-diagnostics and postdoctoral research in immunology at NYU Medical School. Dr. Ultee holds four U.S. patents and has presented at numerous scientific conferences. He earned his graduate and undergraduate biochemistry degrees from Northwestern University and Dartmouth College. He serves on the editorial advisory boards of both Bioprocess International and Biopharm International.
